What To Expect When Wearing Glasses For The First Time
Wearing glasses for the first time can bring about many new sensations, and it can take up to a week or two for your body to adjust. One of the most common side effects of wearing glasses is a headache.
Your face, specifically the nose and temples, is experiencing more pressure than before, which can lead to a tension headache. To help your eyes adjust, take breaks or wear your new glasses in small increments until you can wear them all day with ease.
While you may expect to have 20/20 vision immediately, it’s possible to still have some blurry vision, as your brain is trying to relearn images, but this is only temporary. Additionally, wearing glasses for the first time can lead to dizziness or nausea, so make sure to move your entire head to view something, instead of just your eyes.
